About the Event

Crafting a competitive Main Essay, also known as the personal statement, is one of the most important parts of the college application process. Since this essay is reviewed by every college a student applies to, choosing the right topic and building a strong structure are essential.

In this workshop, scholars will learn what colleges are looking for in a strong Main Essay. The presenter will guide students through self-reflection exercises, introduce the four cornerstones of a great college essay, and help them begin shaping their topic and outline. Scholars are expected to arrive with all prerequisites completed.

What You Will Take Away:

  • A clearer understanding of what makes a Main Essay effective

  • Self-reflection exercises to help identify strong essay topics

  • An overview of the four cornerstones of a strong college essay
