Hook ‘em horns! Are you a high school student interested in applying to The University of Texas at Austin? Do you want to learn about the most recent trends in admissions, particularly within the STEM majors, and the strategies to apply for these competitive programs? Register today for Access College America’s college planning presentation on “Applying to The University of Texas at Austin!”
In this presentation, we will discuss how to highlight your strengths by delving into activity list building. Recommendations for research, internships, and summer planning will be provided. We will also discuss the role of testing, test planning, and timing. We will explain UT’s holistic review process. We will share tips for academic planning and how sequencing your classes strategically matters. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of demonstrating a fit-to-major in your application, specifically for STEM majors. We will offer a Q & A session for any questions attendees may have about applying to the University of Texas.
Our goal is to provide you with the tools and knowledge necessary to submit a competitive application to the University of Texas at Austin. Join us and start your journey toward a burnt orange future!

Jenn is a licensed school counselor with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Education from Lamar University. She has worked in education full time for over 13 years in various roles and has served as a school counselor for the past 7 years. Jenn has a passion for challenging scholars to explore different career paths and concentrations to find the best college fit for them!

Special needs students and their parents, the LGBTQIA+ community, returning students, veterans, and traditional applicants (high school to college) are treated as individuals throughout the entire process.
Before completing his Master in Business Administration degree from the University of Redlands he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a minor in government, from the University of Texas, Austin.
Dale is the Former Scholarship Chair and the Past President of Texas Exes, Los Angeles. Dale is a Professional Member of the Higher Education Consultants Association, an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, a Life Member of the Texas-Exes and serves as an Ambassador for the Westlake Chamber of Commerce.
He also serves on several scholarship award committees and has personally reviewed countless competitive college essays, personal statements, and scholarship applications.
