We will share tips for academic planning and how sequencing your classes strategically matters. Additionally, we will discuss the importance of demonstrating a fit-to-major in your application, specifically for STEM majors. We will offer a Q & A session for any questions attendees may have about applying to the University of Texas.

Jenn is a licensed school counselor with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master's Degree in Education from Lamar University. Jenn has worked in education full time for over 13 years in various roles and has served as a school counselor for the past 7 years. Jenn has a passion for challenging scholars to explore different career paths and concentrations to find the best college fit for them!

Jenn has lived in Texas her whole life and currently resides north of Austin with her wife and three kids. After she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, Jenn loved everything Austin had to offer that she never moved back to the DFW area.

Jenn is currently a Lead Counselor at a high school north of Austin where she leads the guidance of over 2200 students through rigorous academic programs such as Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate, as well as career and college exploration. Jenn has experience in providing guidance for admission to several highly selective schools in the state of Texas and across the nation.

Outside of work, Jenn has a 1 year old daughter and 3 and 5 year old sons who keep her very busy at home! She considers her family to be a sports loving group, so whether it be attending her wife’s volleyball games, son’s t-ball games, or rooting for her favorite Longhorns or Dallas sports teams, you can often find Jenn and her family in the stands cheering somewhere!
