Parent Concierge

Joy Ku is the new Parent Concierge at Access College America, bringing a wealth of experience across the education industry, business development, healthcare, and customer service. Previously, Joy served as Executive Director at Huntington Learning Center, where she excelled in leadership, managing operations, and driving marketing initiatives. Her ability to build strategic partnerships and develop effective marketing content contributed significantly to the center's success.


One of Joy's key strengths is her exceptional communication skills. She is adept at engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including school principals, counselors, and parents, ensuring clear and effective communication. In her role as the Parent Concierge, Joy is the first point of contact for all families at Access College America. Her role is not just about managing logistics; it is also about providing emotional support and reassurance to families during what can be a challenging time. She understands the pressures that families face during the college admissions process and is committed to providing a calming and supportive presence. Whether answering questions, providing resources, or simply listening to concerns, Joy is there to ensure that families feel confident and informed every step of the way.


In addition to her technical skills, Joy's ability to manage multiple priorities and stay organized under pressure is a significant asset. She is adept at juggling various tasks, from scheduling discovery calls to coordinating with other team members, all while ensuring that the community receives timely and accurate information. This level of organization is crucial in her role as Parent Concierge, where she is responsible for ensuring that each family's journey for more information is smooth and stress-free.


Joy’s diverse skill set, combined with her compassionate approach, makes her an invaluable asset to Access College America, ensuring that every family receives the best possible support as they experience the excellence that Access College America provides.

Joy and her husband have three children: a 24 year old son working as a cyber security consultant; a 22 year old who just started her first year at UT Dental School (Houston Medical Center); and a 12 year old in the 7th grade. Joy’s hobbies include playing tennis and she served as her country club ambassador for ten years connecting people. Her passion projects include affiliations with the March of Dimes, Arthritis Foundation and River Point Church.
