Bonnie Kleffman, M.Ed., GCDF, serves as the Program Director at Access College America, combining deep academic strategy with specialized career pathway mapping. Backed by a Master’s Degree in Education and her credentials as a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), Bonnie specializes in helping students align their academic trajectories with long-term professional success. A recognized researcher and speaker, she was awarded a grant from the Mary Black Foundation to study community health outcomes and frequently presents for the South Carolina Career Development Professionals (SCCDP). Her exceptional commitment to student success earned her consecutive honors as ACA's 2023 Employee of the Year and 2025 Consultant of the Year.
Bonnie brings a strong foundation in education, curriculum design, and career development to her role as Program Director at Access College America. With a passion for helping students discover meaningful career paths and the educational journeys that support them, Bonnie plays a central role in shaping the student experience across ACA programming.

Bonnie Kleffman enjoys mountain bike racing.
Professional Experience & Impact
Bonnie serves as the lead curriculum writer for Access College America and is the faculty lead for both the Masterclass Series and Main Essay programming. She is instrumental in designing and delivering high-impact content that helps students translate their experiences into compelling, strategic college applications.
Her background includes roles as an English teacher, AVID instructor with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, and Career Specialist with Fort Mill School District. She also served as the director of a nonprofit literacy program focused on family literacy and intergenerational learning.
Bonnie has worked with an exceptionally diverse range of students, from therapeutic preschool populations to adult learners, including inmates at the Spartanburg County Jail. Her work consistently centers on unlocking potential and creating pathways to education and career success.

Personal
Bonnie is deeply passionate about both education and personal wellness. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys mountain biking, fitness instruction, hot yoga, and weightlifting. She especially values sharing these interests with her two daughters, ages 15 and 18.
