Ananya Bhalla

Ananya Bhalla is a fourth-year Honors Biology student in The University of Texas at Austin's highly selective Polymathic Scholars Honors Program and is pursuing a Health Innovation & Reform minor through the McCombs School of Business. As a Peer Mentor Associate with Access College America, Ananya helps students identify, develop, and pursue meaningful research, leadership, service, entrepreneurial, and academic opportunities that strengthen college applications while aligning with each student's authentic interests and long-term goals.

Ananya offers students a unique perspective as someone who has successfully navigated the competitive admissions process herself and continues to excel at one of the nation's top public universities. She understands what selective colleges look for beyond grades and test scores and enjoys helping our scholars transform their passions into compelling experiences and impactful extracurricular involvement.
Her accomplishments span research, healthcare, entrepreneurship, nonprofit leadership, and public service. Ananya serves as the Admissions and Service Director for UT Austin's Health Careers & Mentorship Program, where she has reviewed hundreds of student applications, giving her valuable insight into what distinguishes exceptional applicants. She has also published scholarly work through prestigious organizations, including Brown University, NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and The University of Texas at Austin.
