Alesha Walker, M.L.A.

Director of Scholar Support

Alesha Walker. M.L.A., was hired in 2020 as the Executive Assistant for the Founder & Owner of Access College America. After exceeding expectations, she was promoted to Manager of Operations in December 2020.  In January 2022, she was promoted to Director of Scholar Support for her exceptional attention to detail, high level of service, and expertise in essay preparation. As the Director of Scholar Support, she assists the consultants with daily tasks to meet our objective of excellence in customer service. She coordinates all labs, webinars, and parent forums and serves as a panelist for various college planning events in the community. Alesha meets with rising seniors for essay brainstorming, prep, and revisions during the busy season. Her extensive background in essay writing and scholarship prep makes her a valuable resource for our scholars.

Alesha earned her Master of Liberal Arts (Educational Administration) from Dallas Baptist University, after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX. 2020 marked her 30th year in Higher Education. Her background is varied and includes the University, Community College, and K-12 levels. She has served as a College Administrator, Adjunct Instructor, Testing Administrator, and Educational Consultant.

She served as the Director of Lifelong Learning at the College of the Mainland in Texas City and Director of Student Life at Houston Community College Northeast and McLennan Community College in Waco, TX. While at MCC, she coordinated the Coca-Cola Two Year Scholars program, where two students each year were chosen to represent the college and went on to compete at the state and national levels.

Fun Fact: Dale was one of her Coca-Cola Two Year Scholars during his time at McLennan Community College.

Alesha and her husband currently reside in Waco, Texas. Her parents and daughter also live nearby and she enjoys family dinners and family game nights, along with “coupon” shopping.
