Aimee Nunez, M.Ed., is a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience in Texas high schools, bringing both professional expertise and personal passion to her work in college advising. As a first-generation college graduate, Aimee is deeply committed to expanding access to higher education and believes every student deserves a supportive team of adults invested in their success and future aspirations.

Professional Experience & Impact
Aimee began her career as an English teacher before transitioning into the AVID program, where she worked closely with ninth and tenth grade students to build foundational college knowledge and readiness. She later advanced into the role of College Counselor, where she has guided students across a wide range of academic interests, with a strong focus on STEM pathways.
She has extensive experience supporting students in rigorous academic programs, including Advanced Placement, Dual Credit, and International Baccalaureate. Her students have successfully applied to a broad spectrum of institutions, including selective public universities, Ivy League schools, highly selective private universities, and liberal arts colleges nationwide.
Aimee is known for her student-centered approach, helping each individual navigate the admissions process with clarity and confidence while identifying best-fit colleges aligned with their goals.

Aimee’s commitment to college access extends beyond her professional role. She actively volunteers with local community organizations to bridge information and resource gaps in college advising. She also serves as a board member for a nonprofit that provides Thanksgiving meals to families in need and awards scholarships to deserving high school seniors.
Personal
Outside of work, Aimee enjoys spending time with her husband of over twenty years and their two children. She’s a fan of Marvel and DC films and a proud tia to three nieces and a nephew, whom she loves to spoil whenever she can.
